Little John is a Goat!

Last weekend, I traveled to visit an old friend of mine.  It was a beastly hot day, one of those scorchers we have been having here on the east coast.  He had just purchased a new critter that day, and I actually got to pet my very first goat ever!  I found out that Little John liked to have his head scratched right behind his horns...and if you stopped, he would nudge your hand for more!  What a cutie!

It was fun listening to him talk to the rooster too...the rooster crowed, Little John answered.  Wonder what they were saying to each other?

You have to wonder what animals have to say to each other! No goats around us but plenty of other kinds of animals.

Sweet....when we lived in Colorado, behind our property, there was a small goat herd, and they'd come up to me if they saw me out back. I love their eyes!! And yes, they DO liked to be scratched. Gotta love 'em.

Super photos.

Great captures. I always enjoy seeing goats in a field. A family near my parents old house keeps one to be their lawn mower. That one goat keeps the yard cared for all season.

Goats are pretty intelligent and manipulative.
